Palermo boss Giuseppe Sannino believes that Sunday's draw with Catania keeps them in place to stay in Serie A.
Josip Ilicic's late equaliser ensured that the Rosanero left the Sicilian derby with a point.
And the Coach has insisted that staying in the division is still possible, despite being 18th and a point behind Siena.
“The draw against Catania keeps us alive,” he told Radio Sportiva. “A few months ago we were in a painful state.
“But we can now continue to hope – and that is important for morale.
“Salvation is still possible. With the help of the fans and the city, we can hit our target.”
