Serie A side Atalanta failed in a transfer deadline day approach for Cagliari striker Mauricio Pinilla.
“It was a long day, but Mauricio wasn’t angry about the outcome,” agent Francesco Caliandro told Tutto Cagliari.
“Atalanta had a go for him in what was a calm negotiation and where there was no hair pulling,” he continued.
“In order for a transfer to be completed, all parties have to be satisfied. On this occasion, that was not possible.”
The Chilean forward, now 28, has only scored two goals in 12 Serie A games so far this season.
