Milan have announced captain Massimo Ambrosini suffered a lesion to his right thigh muscle, an injury that could keep him out for over a month.

Milan have announced captain Massimo Ambrosini suffered a lesion to his right thigh muscle, an injury that could keep him out for over a month.

The midfielder limped off 26 minutes into Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Sampdoria.

Tests today confirmed he has a lesion to the adductor in his right thigh.

This type of injury usually requires a lay-off of at least a month, possibly more.
