Palermo boss Delio Rossi is reportedly set to be offered a new contract by the Sicilian giants as an early Christmas present.
Rossi, who arrived during last season after Walter Zenga was axed, is only contracted to the Rosanero until June 2010.
Despite an inconsistent start to the present season, Palermo have impressed and Rossi is to be rewarded for his efforts.
Speculation at the Barbera claims that the former Lazio tactician will be offered a new contract until June 2012 in early December.
As part of that agreement, there will also be a clause inserted with an option for an extra season should both parties want to continue their relationship.
Palermo, who beat Roma 3-1 last night in spectacular fashion, are now joint fifth in the table – seven points behind leaders Milan.
