Coppa: Cagliari and Brescia humiliated

Bologna and Catania swept through in convincing fashion after crushing Cagliari and Brescia amid nine goals.

The Fourth Round of the Coppa Italia continued this evening with two matches and the verdicts were damning.

Bologna may be struggling with a financial crisis, but they flattened Cagliari at the Sant'Elia on a terrible night for new Sardinian Coach Roberto Donadoni.

Riccardo Meggiorini converted a penalty, followed by late Gaston Ramirez and Henry Gimenez strikes.

Bologna will take on Napoli in the next round of the competition.

Catania obliterated sorry Brescia at the Massimino, as Maxi Lopez rediscovered his scoring boots.

Martinho's opener had been cancelled out by Feczesin, but the second half was one-way traffic.

Maxi Lopez bagged a brace around goals by Simone Pesce and Mirko Antenucci.

The Elefantini progress with a Fifth Round clash set up against Juventus.
