Miguel Angel Britos has thanked Napoli for giving him the chance to play at the highest levels of the Italian game.
Britos has now completed his expected transfer from Bologna and he can't wait to get started at the Stadio San Paolo.
"I'm very happy to be here," he stated. "I was at Bologna for three years and it was a beautiful experience, but I needed to take a step up in quality.
"Napoli have given me that opportunity."
The Uruguayan was targeted by the Stadio San Paolo outfit at the specific request of boss Walter Mazzarri.
"I still haven't spoken to the Coach," the stopper continued. "Things will change tactically for me, but not that much.
"I'm a central defender and, while I was in Uruguay, I played in a three-man defence for six months.
"I think it is important for me that I was wanted by the Coach for my characteristics. I'll aim to repay him for that faith with my performances on the pitch."
