Andrea Mantovani is willing to work with Coach Stefano Pioli again – but only if Palermo demonstrate a real desire to sign him.
The Chievo defender was linked with the Rosanero even before Pioli left the Flying Donkeys for the Stadio Barbera this summer.
"It's clear that I could be reunited with Pioli at Palermo, a Coach who I worked well under," he stated. "To work with people that you know has to be a positive.
"However, it's vital for me that the clubs who want me prove that I will be important for them, an integral part of their project.
"Who shows a real desire to sign me will have my preference."
Genoa are very interested in the Italian after they sold Domenico Criscito to Russian giants Zenit this week. Fiorentina and Udinese have also been paired.
Born in Turin, Mantovani joined Chievo in 2005 after a season on loan at Triestina.
