Injured Pippo Inzaghi has advised Milan to replace him in January with Alberto Paloschi. "There is nobody better," he said.
The Rossoneri are expected to bring in a fresh option in the New Year after Inzaghi's season was ended by a knee injury earlier this month.
Numerous players have been mentioned as possible alternatives to Inzaghi, but the player himself insists the Parma forward would be ideal.
"If I have to be replaced then there is nobody better than Paloschi – even if he is coming back from an injury," said the 37-year-old.
Paloschi, an Under-21 international, is actually co-owned by the Rossoneri and has already appeared for them in Serie A.
He made his Serie A debut for Milan against Siena in February 2008 and has two goals in seven top-flight appearances for the outfit.
Paloschi, born in January 1990, joined the Tardini outfit in the summer of 2008.
