Ezequiel Schelotto will play for Atalanta next season after another possible loan move was ruled out.
The Bergamo based club first bought a half share in the player in July 2009 from Cesena, but he has yet to play for the newly promoted club.
Atalanta, who netted him outright in 2010, loaned him to Cesena and then Catania last season.
"Schelotto will remain at Atalanta," agent Franco Zavaglia told Sportitalia. "He's not on a tour of Italy."
Schelotto, an Argentine-born former Italian Under-21 international, is a versatile right-winger who can also be used as a defender.
Atalanta will be back in the Italian top-flight next season after wrapping up promotion from Serie B.
