Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani says he is prepared to 'risk' losing Ronaldinho, as the Brazil international's contract runs down.
Ronaldinho is free to talk with other clubs in January as he enters the last six months of his existing deal at San Siro amid interest from the LA Galaxy.
The 30-year-old recently expressed his desire to stay at Milan, but his willpower will be tested by the club's desire to lower their wage bill.
"It's never happened that a Milan player has reached an agreement with another club without our knowing also because they are happy with us," Galliani explained.
"I am convinced that it will not happen, but maybe I am wrong.
"I will run this risk," he concluded.
