Lazio midfield playmaker Hernanes admits he is yet to completely adapt to the Italian game.
The Brazil international has still made a real impact, scoring nine goals in Serie A in his first season.
"I am still not totally adapted to the Italian championship," Hernanes said.
"It's not easy like in Brazil where I know all the grounds and the way each team plays."
Asked about his ambitions, Hernanes replied: "I had the opportunity to return to the international set up after a long time against France, but then that ugly incident happened and I was sent off.
"I will never commit a mistake of that nature again. I am convinced that I will have another chance.
"Mano Menezes loves offensive players with good feet in midfield. His style guarantees me other opportunities."
