Zarate: 'Lazio can catch Inter'

Mauro Zarate confirms Lazio are pushing to catch Inter in third place with next week's head-to-head. “We can do it, even though it's difficult.”

The striker hit the back of the net during today's 4-1 victory away to Catania, which put the Biancocelesti just three points shy of Inter.

The campaign comes to a head next Saturday, as the two clubs come face-to-face at the Stadio Meazza.

“This is a crucial win for us, but now we have to focus on the next match against Inter, because they are a tough side,” said Zarate.

“If they want to beat us then they're going to need a great performance, and the same is true for us.

“It would be wonderful to win at San Siro and climb into third place, but if that's not the case then this position at the end of the season will also be great.”
