Giacomazzi: 'Roma stronger than Juve'

Lecce prepare for their match with Roma and captain Guillermo Giacomazzi respects the Giallorossi. “They're stronger than Juventus.”

The Salentini caused a huge upset two weeks ago by beating Juve 2-0 at the Stadio Via del Mare.

“We've got Roma next, who in my view are a very strong side at the moment unable to get the results they deserve,” said Giacomazzi.

“I believe Vincenzo Montella's team are stronger than Juventus, as they have more quality, albeit something less in terms of physicality. We've got to work even harder than against Juve.

“Next week Roma are gambling with their Champions League qualification, so hopefully they'll be a little distracted, but we must focus on our own performance against a wounded side.”

Giacomazzi returns to the side after sitting out a two-match ban for dissent.

“I paid for my protests, but the important thing is that the team did really well even without me. That was once again the proof of our strength as a unit and not individuals.”
