Guidolin still respects Juventus

Francesco Guidolin's Udinese have taken mighty scalps this month and tonight eye Juventus. “We go there without arrogance, though.”

Considering current form, some could be forgiven for thinking the Friulani are the favourites for victory in Turin this evening.

“Let's not forget they thrashed us 4-0 in September and can do it again if we don't step on to the field aware we're facing a strong side that is wounded and angry,” warned the Coach.

“They are packed with talent and trained by a great tactician like Gigi Del Neri.

“The performance against Roma in the Coppa Italia suggested they were struggling, but we mustn't forget Roma are also a great side and were almost forced to extra time.

“We will therefore go to Turin without arrogance. Juve are Juve. Udinese are Udinese.”

Nonetheless, in recent weeks Guidolin's men have held Milan to a 4-4 draw and inflicted the only defeat on Leonardo's Inter.

“The Bianconeri have crucial figures like Milos Krasic, Alessandro Del Piero and Alberto Aquilani. The big sides are capable of winning games through sheer willpower.

“Amauri was simply amazing with me at Palermo and it's a pity injuries mean he hasn't been able to make that step up in quality that I was expecting.”
