Rossi: 'Refs won't give us penalties'

Delio Rossi is flabbergasted at yet another penalty denied to Palermo. “When in doubt, they won't give it to us. It's an absurd situation.”

The Sicilians were already furious after a series of incidents went against them and are the only club in Serie A yet to receive a spot-kick this season.

“People always have to say ‘probable' penalty when talking about it, but again this foul was as big as a house,” snapped the Coach.

Javier Pastore appeared to be brought down during the 1-0 win over Brescia this afternoon.

“There has been an odd sort of effect on the referees, so when in doubt, they won't give it to us.

“Many tell me Palermo do not have the charisma to make themselves respected, but I want to think we are simply unlucky, as the rules are equal for everyone.

“The situation has become absurd. We are not Barcelona, so we are always forced to give it our all.

“I have to praise my lads for emerging with the three points, as these games are always tough. Cesare Bovo's free kick gave us a very important win.”
