Buffon: 'Juve for life'

Gigi Buffon has ended speculation about his future by telling reporters that he intends to stay at Juventus for the rest of his career.

The 32-year-old Italy international recently returned to action after seven months out with a major back injury.

Interviewed by Sky Italia, he said: "The demonstration of unconditional love towards me from the fans is something to which you can't remain insensitive."

Asked about his reported strained relationship with Gigi Del Neri, Buffon said: "I often and willingly spoke with him and we joked too."

Finally, Buffon turned his attention to the prospect of playing for Italy again.

"When there are great expectations around me I often like to stand up and be counted.

"I hope to continue the rest of my career here at Juventus."
