Mutu 'out of squad and off the market'

Fiorentina President Andrea Della Valle announced “Adrian Mutu is frozen out of the squad and off the market.”

The Romanian is punished for storming out of a training session and legal action prepared for breach of contract.

“Mutu did a very serious thing, while his agent Giovanni Becali said horrible and false things,” commented Della Valle.

“We will take action to protect the interests of the club in every court. We were offended and so were our directors, so at this point it's down to the lawyers to discuss it.

“It is tough to talk about this now. At this moment the player is off the market and frozen out of the squad, as you cannot just walk out of a training session and get away with it.”

This suggests Mutu will be forced to spend the rest of the campaign in the stands, despite receiving interest from Cesena, Bologna, Galatasaray and even Juventus.
