Fiorentina have shown no interest in Gaby Mudingayi, the Bologna player's representative has commented.
The struggling Viola have been paired with the midfielder in recent weeks, much to the surprise of his agent.
"Mudingayi has never been an objective for Fiorentina," Federico Pastorello has underlined.
Mudingayi, now 29, is a tough-tackling central midfielder who joined the Rossoblu in the summer of 2008 from Lazio.
A Belgium international, the Congo-born player moved to Italy in 2004 after the capital outfit signed him from Gent.
Bologna's financial difficulties did see him linked with a variety of clubs this month, including Genoa, but he may now remain at the Dall'Ara after new owners restored some financial stability to the outfit.
