Report: Inter want Leonardo and Kaka

Not only is Leonardo reportedly set to take over from Rafa Benitez, but Inter could also exchange ex-Milan star Kaka for Douglas Maicon.

It is widely claimed that former Rossoneri Coach Leonardo is the hot favourite to replace Benitez during the winter break.

This move across the city could cause controversy, but not as much as the other rumour doing the rounds in the Italian media.

Sportmediaset suggest Inter are also in negotiations to bring Kaka back to San Siro wearing the Nerazzurri colours.

The Brazilian Ballon d'Or winner was sold to Real Madrid for a then-record £56m in June 2009, but has since struggled with injury and form.

It is well known that former Inter boss Jose Mourinho would like to be reunited with full-back Maicon, who has been a shadow of his usual self this season.

The story claims a bid to resolve both issues at once, sending Maicon to Madrid in exchange for Kaka.

It would further point to Leonardo as the new boss, because he convinced Milan to sign Kaka in 2003 when acting as a talent scout.
