Reja ready for Atalanta

Edy Reja prepares for Atalanta and warns Lazio will only release Giuseppe Sculli “if we receive an adequate replacement.”

The Biancocelesti have received an offer from Genoa for Sculli, “but he is a valuable member of the squad and I have no intention of losing him unless we receive an adequate replacement.

“The transfer strategy is down to President Claudio Lotito and director Ighli Tare. I just give an indication when it comes to characteristics.”

Meanwhile the Biancocelesti aim to get back on track in Serie A after their 4-0 demolition at the hands of Siena, as they welcome Atalanta in the Sunday lunch-time kick-off.

“This is a delicate encounter, especially seeing the difficulties we have putting a team together this weekend. Hernanes and Stefan Radu are feeling better, but we’re still not sure if they can play tomorrow.

“Atalanta are in good shape and are a side to be respected. It is going to be an intense match. Unfortunately, when forced to make so many changes due to injuries, it is difficult to achieve consistency. Recently we have had to constantly switch things round in midfield and defence. This is why the fans will become decisive.”

Lorik Cana, Libor Kozak, Cristian Brocchi, Stefano Mauri and the suspended Albano Bizzarri are out of action, but goalkeeper Federico Marchetti returns.

Lazio squad: Carrizo, Marchetti; Biava, Diakitè, Dias, Garrido, Lulic, Radu, Stankevicius, Zauri; Del Nero, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Ledesma, Matuzalem, Zampa; Alfaro, Cissè, Klose, Rocchi
