Parma boss Pasquale Marino goes into the Emilia-Romagna derby with Bologna, but admits he “admires what they are doing in difficult circumstances.”
The Rossoblu have already been docked a point for financial irregularities and could have more taken away, as the club is on the verge of bankruptcy.
“I appreciate and admire what the Coach and players are doing in this difficult moment for the club,” said Marino.
“They proved how professional they are and so I expect a real struggle in this match. Bologna have picked up a lot of points in the final minutes, so they're tough and it'll be a test of our maturity.
“This isn't just a local derby. It is a game of extraordinary importance, as Bologna have been doing very well in recent weeks.”
Parma played midweek in a heart-stopping 2-1 extra time win over Fiorentina to reach the next phase of the Coppa Italia.
“I don't want excuses about tiredness. We had a specific training regime and it was five days ago.”
