Gigi Del Neri insists Juventus “deserved something more” than a sixth consecutive draw against Manchester City.
“Clearly there are some regrets, but we paid the price in our Europa League season for the many new faces in the team at the start,” said the Coach.
A 1-1 result in Turin means Juve have drawn all of their group games and were already eliminated before this evening.
“I chose youngsters tonight and saw the right spirit. We honoured the encounter and deserved something more.
“At the end Manchester City scored that rather strange goal, but I can say we held out well against a motivated side that came here to get a positive result.
“We leave the competition with heart and dignity.”
