Lazio will play Atletico Madrid in the last 32 of the Europa League, while Udinese have been paired with PAOK Salonika.
There was a danger that the Italian duo could be faced with tests against the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, but the draw was kinder than that.
The capital outfit will still have a tough game against their Spanish counterparts, but the Stadio Friuli outfit will fancy their chances against Greek opposition.
Should the two teams progress then Lazio will play either Braga or Besiktas, while Alkmaar or Anderlecht will be waiting for the side from Udine.
The two-legged last 32 ties will be played on February 16 and 23.
