Serie B: Toro appeal, Brescia axe

Torino have lost their appeal, so the game with Padova will be concluded on Wednesday, while Brescia hire new Coach Alessandro Calori.

The Padova-Torino Serie B match was suspended on December 4 with the home side leading 1-0, as floodlights failed four times.

Toro had lodged an appeal for a 3-0 result to be awarded in their favour because Padova had failed to ensure the game went ahead as planned.

Today the Disciplinary Commission rejected the appeal, so the final 14 minutes will be played on Wednesday at 13.30 UK time.

In other Serie B news, Brescia have fired Coach Giuseppe Scienza after sliding to the edge of the relegation zone.

It was announced this afternoon that Calori has been brought in to take over the Rondinelle.
