Francesco Guidolin concedes Udinese are in “a tough group, but we’re nearly there” for Europa League qualification.
The Friulani will go through as long as they avoid home defeat to Celtic in the final Group I game.
“This is a tough group for Udinese, but we’re nearly there,” said the Coach after a 0-0 draw with Rennes.
“Qualification is close, but it’s better not to say anything right now and instead let our actions speak.
“We tried to win this evening and ran a few risks, but the performance was positive.”
Guidolin was again criticised for leaving Antonio Di Natale on the bench, even though the striker warmed up for much of the second half.
“Will our strategy change once we qualify? Maybe. We’ll see.”
