Torino President Urbano Cairo has denied a €13m Valencia bid for Angelo Ogbonna. “We've never received offers.”
The defender is hot property on the transfer market and received a call-up to the senior Italy squad despite playing in Serie B.
There were reports today that Valencia had proposed €13m, which is still well below the €20m price-tag.
“We've never received offers for Ogbonna,” President Cairo told La Stampa newspaper.
There are also suggestions the 23-year-old could invoke Article 17 to extricate himself from the Torino contract.
“There would be no need for that, as our rapport is excellent with Angelo and his agents.”
