Line-ups: Maccarone gets Prague nod

Palermo's last chance saloon is against Sparta Prague this evening, so Fabio Liverani, Massimo Maccarone and Javier Pastore lead the way.

The Sicilians are in third place in Group F with just three points to Sparta's seven and CSKA Moscow on 12.

Anything less than a victory tonight will see them crash out of the Europa League.

Fabrizio Miccoli is rested to give Maccarone and Mauricio Pinilla more bulk in attack with support from Pastore.

Liverani gets his first start in months after a series of injury problems and will be pulling the midfield strings, but Cesare Bovo and goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu are on the bench.

When these sides met in September, it was a spectacular 3-2 victory for Sparta Prague and two of the three goalscorers – Wilfried Bony and Jiri Kladrubsky – are in the starting XI tonight.

Kick-off is at 20.05 UK time.

Palermo: Benussi; Cassani, Munoz, Goian, Balzaretti; Migliaccio, Liverani, Rigoni; Pastore; Pinilla, Maccarone

Sparta Prague: Blazek; Kusnir, Repka, Brabec, Panic; Vacek; Podany, Kucka, Kladrubsky; Kweuke, Bony

Sparta bench: Zika, Hoheneder, Matejovsky, V Kadlec, Zeman, Vachousek, Hejda
