Kepa Arrizabalaga would appear to be closer than ever to joining Napoli in a cut-price deal, as he is not in the Chelsea squad on their website.

A look at the official site sees that Kepa is nowhere to be seen in the senior squad, but nor is he placed in the group of players who are out on loan.

Curiously, neither is Italy international Jorginho.

The shot-stopper is expected to join Napoli on loan, with the Premier League side also prepared to pay 70 per cent of his salary during that period.

Coach Luciano Spalletti has asked for a new goalkeeper to challenge Alex Meret for the gloves after David Ospina left at the end of his contract.

Kepa is eager for a new experience and opportunity to prove himself after the €80m transfer from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2018 and falling behind Edouard Mendy in the pecking order, making only 15 competitive appearances for the club last season.
