Coach Giampiero Ventura

The 54-year-old is one of those tacticians who never had a real playing career, starting in charge of the Sampdoria youth system at the age of 25 after a serious injury and eventually making his top flight debut with Cagliari in 1998. He famously said when accepting the Bari job that success wasn’t so much his target as “lust for coaching.” It’s that passion which won over the Torino fans and players, as together they earned promotion in his first season.
