Opened in 1955 and recently renovated, the oval shape of the ground and large running track that surrounds the pitch is reflective of its use as a centre for the Italian National Olympic Committee. Combined with the open and broken design of the stands, exposing the pitch to its coastal climate, it is difficult for the club’s main ultra group Rangers in the Curva Nord to generate a significant atmosphere.
