Check out today’s latest transfer updates from Serie A, including Juventus’ strategy for Inter and Tottenham target Albert Gudmundsson, and Napoli’s reported talks with Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez. 

According to updates from Tuttosport, Juventus are planning to include 22-year-old midfielder Enzo Barrenechea as part of a player-plus-cash exchange with Genoa for Gudmundsson. 

Serie A leaders Inter and Premier League outfit Tottenham are also interested in the Icelandic striker, who is valued somewhere in the region of €35m. 

Wednesday’s updates also highlighted ‘advanced’ negotiations between Napoli and 30-year-old Argentine defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez, whose current contract with Real Betis in LaLiga is due to expire at the end of the 2023-24 season. 

More Serie A transfer updates 

Fiorentina are the latest club to register an interest in Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic, who had been a step away from joining Inter last summer. Juventus and Napoli have been linked with the 22-year-old at various stages of the last 12 months. 

After losing Felipe Anderson, who is set to join Palmeiras in his homeland of Brazil in the summer, Lazio are planning to hand a five-year contract extension to Mattia Zaccagni, which will run until the summer of 2029. 

Former Juventus, Milan and Italy defender Gianluca Zambrotta highlighted Milan’s need for both a striker and a new defender in the summer transfer window.
