Napoli and Juventus are gearing up for a summer fight for Lazar Samardzic, but now face a new threat in the race for the Udinese starlet.

The 22-year-old, who seemed just a step away from joining Inter last summer before everything collapsed, has continued to impress in Udine this term, despite the team’s dire form. He has scored four goals and picked up two assists across 27 league matches.

Napoli tried and failed to make a move for Samardzic in January, preluding a summer attempt, whilst Juventus are expected to return to the fray considering that he’s been a favourite of director Cristiano Giuntoli for over two years now.

Samardzic battle grows

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the battle for Samardzic is set to expand beyond Napoli and Juventus as now Fiorentina have emerged with serious interest in the Udinese talent, willing to invest to snatch the Serbian midfielder.

The Friulian outfit want at least €30m for the 22-year-old, who is contracted to the club to June 2026, but this could rise should the fight heat up when the transfer market opens in July.
