Built in 1963, the Marc' Antonio Bentegodi is shared between Hellas Verona and neighbours Chievo. Redevelopments were made in advance of the 1990 World Cup where the stadium hosted Group E and the Spain-Yugoslavia Last 16 clash.
While the Bentegodi is an intimidating prospect when full, Chievo struggle to find support in a city of Hellas fans. When the Flying Donkeys entertain bigger sides it is common to find away fans outnumbering the home faithful even in Chievo’s Curva Sud.
Chievo’s small cluster of Ultras can be found in the Curva Sud Inferiore where there is a friendly and lively atmosphere. The ground is close to Verona’s Porta Nuova station and is within walking distance of the city centre.
