Sportitalia reports Inter have opened preliminary talks for Albert Gudmundsson, but Tuttosport claims the Iceland international dreams of a move to the Premier League with Tottenham interested.

Inter have opened talks to sign Genoa star Gudmundsson in the summer, but negotiations are not at an advanced stage, according to the latest report from Sportitalia.

Journalist Gianluigi Longari claims Inter directors called Genoa at the end of last week to understand whether a deal for the 26-year-old is practically feasible given that the Grifone’s price tag is pretty high.

For this reason, the next Serie A champions will probably try to include one of their young footballers in a player-plus-cash swap deal, but the conversation with Genoa hasn’t gone this far because the Nerazzurri still don’t know whether President Steven Zhang will extend a loan with Oaktree or will look to a different partner to keep control of the club beyond June.

Gudmundsson, scorer of 13 Serie A goals in 30 appearances this season, has attracted interest from many clubs around Europe, including Inter’s Serie A rivals Juventus and Premier League side Tottenham.

As per Tuttosport newspaper on page 21, the 26-year-old dreams of a move to the Premier League, but he’d still be happy to join the Nerazzurri who are on good terms with his agents, the same as Tajon Buchanan.
