Emanuele Giaccherini has officially joined Napoli from Sunderland in a deal reported to be worth €1.5m plus bonuses.
“Sunderland AFC midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini has completed a permanent transfer to Italian side SSC Napoli for an undisclosed fee.
“The 31-year-old joined Sunderland from Juventus in 2013 and has since made 43 appearances, scoring five goals, for the Black Cats.”
The Italy international wide man was in the final year of his contract with the Black Cats.

The Italy international wide man was in the final year of his contract with the Black Cats.
He revitalised his career during a loan spell at Bologna, scoring seven goals in 28 Serie A appearances.
The impressive performances at Euro 2016 also helped increase his profile.
“I arrive at an important and prestigious club, so I am happy to be wearing this shirt,” he told the official Napoli website.
“I can’t wait to start my new adventure with Napoli. Playing at the San Paolo will be fantastic.”
Former Juventus man Giak has signed a three-year contract with Napoli, believed to be worth €1.4m per season plus bonuses.
He passed his medical yesterday and arrived at the Dimaro pre-season training camp this morning.
