Juventus President Andrea Agnelli suggested major Leagues all start at the same time to “harmonise European football.”

The patron has proposed several reforms to Italian football, including the introduction of B-Teams.

“I think it is necessary to find a common thread for European football, for the good of clubs and fans,” Agnelli said at a club management forum.

“During the course of a season, teams are above all busy on the national level, so we should have national Leagues that start on the same day.

“During the course of a season, teams are above all busy on the national level, so we should have national Leagues that start on the same day.

“Some start very early, for example on August 10, others must later. I acknowledge in these nations there is 35 degree heat and it’s impossible to play, but starting on the same day would help harmonise European football.”
