Roberto Mancini felt Inter’s 1-1 draw away to Sampdoria was “an acceptable result” with big misses each.

“We allowed two or three clear chances on the counter in the first half. After the break, with Muriel’s counter the game totally changed and we could’ve won.

“We got a point against an excellent side and this result is acceptable, really,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

Roberto Mancini felt Inter’s 1-1 draw away to Sampdoria was “an acceptable result” with big misses each.

“We got a point against an excellent side and this result is acceptable, really,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the first half Samp put 10 men behind the ball and closed the spaces down. Perisic created danger going down the right and we could’ve made more of that.

“I introduced another forward in the second half and things went better.”

The Nerazzurri had more shots on goal than in any of their other games this season.

“We are improving in terms of creating chances and that is positive. As for giving away scoring opportunities, most of those were because we were distracted on set plays or gave the ball away.”

Joaquin Correa was guilty of the miss of the season, somehow turning wide of an open goal from a couple of yards.

“Are we grateful to him? He needs to send Guarin and Kondogbia a bunch of flowers each. It’s an incredible miss, but the one we wasted was pretty bad too. It was on his weaker foot.”

Mancini was harsh on reporters in yesterday’s Press conference, claiming many of them didn’t know what they were talking about.

“I didn’t mean to offend anyone. The only ones who got offended were those who knew deep down they don’t understand football. The others were safe in their own knowledge.

“Someone asked me at the end of the game why we changed system, but we’d been playing that way since the start, so it means he wasn’t watching.”
