“It’s a very different game against Udinese compared to last week with Milan, but we do hope it will be a game that brings a sense of consistency to our results,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“We want to start picking up points away from home in order to improve our status in the Serie A table.

“There have been some good away performances, including at Lazio, but now we need to make those count with points.

“We have to improve and be more concentrated. We have the same number of points as Udinese, but we have to look at our own progress and the fixture list made a big difference.”

Goalkeeper Perin is called up for the first time after undergoing shoulder surgery over the summer, but Ezequiel Munoz, Cristian Ansaldi and Tino Costa remain sidelined, while Goran Pandev is suspended.

“Costa should be back after the break for international duty,” added Gasperini.

Genoa squad for Udinese: Perin, Lamanna, Ujkani; De Maio, Izzo, Burdisso, Marchese; Ntcham, Dzemaili, Tachtsidis, Rincon, Cissokho, Laxalt; Perotti, Figueiras, Gakpé, Capel, Pavoletti, Lazovic
