“It will be a difficult and delicate challenge, but we cannot cry over spilt milk or sit here feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to play it the best way we can,” declared Coach Giampaolo.

“We prepared well for this game, the difference will be in the motivation and effort we put into it.”

Sassuolo are surprisingly the only unbeaten side in Serie A after six rounds and sit in fourth place.

“We are facing a well-drilled team who have solid collective ideas and rather than dismantle the squad have always found ways to reinforce.

“They’ve been playing this style since their promotion from Serie B and that is a big advantage, as they know the movements off by heart.

“Our defeat to Frosinone was particularly painful on Monday because it was undeserved. Now we have to react with anger and determination against adversity and the difficulties we are called upon to resolve.”

Giampaolo will be in the stands with star player Riccardo Saponara, as both are suspended for insulting the referee in that Frosinone game.

Levan Mchedlidze, Uros Cosic, Leandro Paredes and Daniele Croce are on the treatment table.
