Marco Amelia will reportedly sign for Chelsea tomorrow after impressing in a trial this week.

According to Sky Sport Italia, he’ll be in London on Thursday for a medical and puts pen to paper on a contract to the end of the season.

The former Milan goalkeeper is emergency cover after Thibaut Courtois was ruled out until the New Year, leaving only Asimir Begovic.

Amelia is practically retired, as he left Milan in 2014 and spent time with amateur side Rocca Priora.

He joined Serie B outfit Perugia in January, but made just one appearance and was not retained for this season.

The 33-year-old has been spending most of his time acting as Honorary President of Lega Pro side Lupa Castelli Romani.
