Palermo have confirmed that Uros Djurdjevic’s surgery was “a complete success”.

The striker suffered a broken ankle after catching his studs in the San Siro turf in the defeat to Milan, and went under the knife this morning.

“This morning, Uros Djurdjevic was operated on by Dr Ferdinando Battistella at the Policlinico dello Sport in Monza,” the Rosanero announced in a statement.

“The surgery, which was to fix a lateral malleolus fracture, with a plate and screws, was a complete success.

“The Rosanero forward has immediately started rehabilitation with advanced techniques. On Monday the number 99 will begin his athletic rehabilitation at Policlinico dello Sport.”
