Palermo striker Uros Djurdjevic suffered a broken ankle in the weekend defeat to Milan.

The 21-year-old caught his studs in the San Siro turf and has to be stretchered off, with the Rosanero now confirming a fractured ankle.

“Today Uros Djurdjevic underwent tests at Clinica Macchiarella in Palermo,” the club announced in a statement.

“Today Uros Djurdjevic underwent tests at Clinica Macchiarella in Palermo,” the club announced in a statement.

“The MRI confirmed the original diagnosis of club doctor Cristian Francavilla, with a lesion of the articular capsule of the right ankle, an injury to the right syndesmosis and a fracture of the right lateral malleolus.

“The player will undergo surgery on Thursday at the Policlinico dello Sport in Monza.”

The injury is likely to keep the Serbian striker out for a minimum of three months.
