Gian Piero Gasperini slammed the referee after 10-man Genoa lost to Juventus. “It was a non-existent penalty.”

The Grifone went down on home turf to an unlucky own goal and debatable Paul Pogba spot-kick, while Armando Izzo was sent off.

“We had a good first half, but made a couple of silly errors that created their chances,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“I am satisfied with what we did. Obviously with 11 men against 11, it would’ve been a much more interesting game. The penalty – which was non-existent – put the seal on it.

“We’ve never conceded a penalty like that. It happens sometimes, but I have to make clear it was a non-existent penalty. It was already difficult and after that the game became ugly.

“It also seemed to me that the treatment of bookable offences was different, but then we’re used to that.”
