“We always go out looking for the three points and to enjoy our football, but we know it won’t be easy to get a result against a side the calibre of Inter,” the Coach told reporters.

“Having said that, we still believe we can get all three points.”

Inter are the only side with a perfect record after three Serie A rounds, but Chievo crushed Lazio 4-0 and held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Turin.

“We mustn’t look at the table, but it’s only normal that if we glance at the standings, we are right up there. We want to continue doing well and the fact Inter are the form team with such enormous potential mustn’t dampen our belief.

“We must give 100 per cent to get points against a team that so far has not shown any weak spots. We have to work as a team, fighting for every ball.

“I don’t want us to keep a low profile. We cannot say that we’re fighting for the top, because that wouldn’t be true, but neither should we lessen our impact. We know our potential and are simply realistic.

“These three games haven’t changed us, but perhaps they did give us the right self-belief to give our best in a match situation.”
