Verona have officially announced the signing of Matuzalem on a free transfer.
The Brazilian midfielder was without a club since leaving Bologna at the end of last season, and had a medical with the Butei this morning.
“Hellas Verona announces the signing of midfielder Francelino Matuzalem Da Silva,” a brief statement on the club’s official website confirmed.
"Having passed a medical, the player has signed a contract which ties him to the club for a year. 'Matu' chose the squad number 27."

The 35-year-old has spent much of his career in Italy, previously representing Napoli, Piacenza, Parma, Brescia, Lazio and Genoa before his spell with the Rossoblu.
