Fiorentina are reportedly attempting to hijack Galatasaray’s move for Manchester City’s Jason Denayer.

The Belgian centre-back, who spent last season on loan at Celtic, was believed to be on the verge of agreeing another temporary move, this time to Turkey.

However, La Nazione reports this morning that the 20-year-old is not convinced by Gala’s offer, and would be interested in a move to the Viola.

Relations between the two clubs are excellent, with Matija Nastasic and Stevan Jovetic having swapped Artemio Franchi for the Etihad in the past, and Stefan Savic moving the other way.

Denayer made 44 appearances while on loan in Scotland last season, scoring six times as Celtic went on to lift the League title.
