“We will enjoy our win, but the team is mature and intelligent enough to know a historic result remains where it is,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“Now we must focus on Palermo, which is a very important game for us and an extremely tough opponent. We have to take it week by week.”

The Friulani can’t relax, as there’s an injury crisis ruling out Emmanuel Badu and Guilherme, while Panagiotis Kone is a major doubt.

“The injuries are all in midfield, but we have players who know what to do. We’ll try to see if Kone can be fit for the bench, but mustn’t look for alibis, as surprises are part of the job.

“Duvan Zapata will start, 100 per cent. He’ll stay out as long as he’s got the legs, but needs four or five games to be in peak form.

“Palermo have lost an important player like Paulo Dybala this summer, but signed Alberto Gilardino. It is a complete squad with a lot of quality and they know what they want to do. This is why we respect them.

“Compared to the Juventus game, we’ll have to take more of the initiative.”

Udinese squad for Palermo: Karnezis, Meret, Romo; Ali Adnan, Danilo, Domizzi, Edenilson, Heurtaux, Neuton, Pasquale, Piris, Wague, Widmer; Fernandes, Iturra, Kone, Marquinho, Merkel, Pinzi; Aguirre, Di Natale, Perica, Thereau, Duvan Zapata
