Antonio Cassano was forced to pull out of Sampdoria training this morning with an injury.

The forward has returned to the Blucerchiati on a free transfer, but hasn’t played for over six months since leaving Parma.

The Italian international admitted in his presentation Press conference that he wasn’t fit, and it appears he has suffered a set back today.

Sky and SportMediaset both report that Cassano pulled out of this morning’s session with a muscular injury, and will be assessed this afternoon.

The problem is believed to be with his left thigh muscle, meaning he may have to wait some time before making his first Samp start in his second spell.
