Napoli striker Eduardo Vargas has officially completed a move to German side Hoffenheim.

The Bundesliga outfit confirmed over the weekend they had agreed terms with the Chilean international, who has struggled for playing time in Naples.

Vargas was signed for €13.5m from Universidad de Chile in January 2012, but barely featured for the Partenopei.

He was sent out on loan spells to Gremio, Valencia and QPR.

Hoffenheim’s official website confirms that Vargas has signed until June 30, 2019 and carries a short interview with the striker.

“I’m not only looking forward to the fans, the atmosphere and the stadiums in Germany, but above all to having the opportunity to show my aggressive, attacking style in one of the best Leagues in the world.

“I want to be able to develop in a team which plays in a similar way to the Chilean national team.”

Napoli are expected to receive around €5m for the 25-year-old.
