Roma have officially signed Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger on loan with option to buy. “I’m absolutely delighted.”
The 22-year-old underwent his medical this week and has already made six appearances for the German national team.
Rudiger joins on a season-long loan from Stuttgart for €4m with option to buy at the end of the season for a further €9m.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be able to wear the Roma jersey,” he told Roma TV while showing off his new Number 2 shirt.

He was born in Germany to a German father and mother from Sierra Leone.
